about Reiki

114A7810.JPG

Reiki is a powerful tool for promoting deep relaxation, inner peace, mental clarity, and self-confidence.

Reiki can also be a gateway to transcendent experiences such as mystical visions and spiritual visitations.

An incredible quality of Reiki energy healing is that it can be done remotely over Zoom. From my home in Oceanside, California, I've delivered Reiki to clients in Hawaii, Washington, Nevada, Florida, and other cities here in California.

I think of Reiki as a spa treatment for your soul. Reiki helps you refresh and enrich your connection with your inner healing spirit. That way, instead of feeling stuck in the same old cycles, you can break free and experience life in a new and exciting way.

Read on to learn more about what Reiki is and how it may benefit you, along with news articles and scientific studies about Reiki's effectiveness at improving well-being.

"Reiki" means "universal life force energy"

The word "Reiki" (pronounced "RAY-kee") is a combination of two Japanese terms:

"Rei" means universal, omnipresent – present everywhere at the same time. It's associated with divinity & the higher self.

"Ki" (similar to the Chinese "chi") is the non-physical vitality that gives life to all living things. It's associated with the chakras.

Together, "Reiki" means universal life-force energy. It's the sense of aliveness and vitality we sense in ourselves and others.

common benefits of a Reiki healing session

In a Reiki session, the Reiki healer activates the universal life force energy in the recipient.

As this life force energy grows stronger in the recipient, the recipient may experience deep relaxation, inner peace, mental clarity, and increased self-confidence.

Sometimes, Reiki sessions produce transcendent experiences such as a mystical visions, spiritual visitations from deceased loved ones, and the sense of floating blissfully beyond your physical body.

Reiki can be provided in-person or remotely

During an in-person Reiki session, the Reiki healer places their hands on or near the recipient's body. Energy flows through the hands into the recipient, providing the healing experience. The Reiki healer moves their hands to different body areas to ensure a full and complete healing.

Reiki can also be practiced remotely. I've personally delivered powerful, life-changing Reiki to clients in Hawaii, Washington, Nevada, Florida, and other cities here in California. The distance didn't matter; my clients received the tremendous benefits of Reiki; they did so in the comfort of their own homes; and they experienced the awe of realizing that distance Reiki actually works. â€‹â€‹

Reiki's historical origins

The practice of Reiki traces its origins to ancient energy healing practices from India & China.

In its modern form, Reiki was developed by Dr. Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 20th century.

Usui & his students created the specific series of techniques & practices followed by Reiki healers around the world today.

the process of becoming a Reiki healer

Everyone has the natural ability to channel Reiki.

However, without proper training and initiation, our ability to channel Reiki is limited.

In Reiki training, practitioners undergo several processes to strengthen their connection to Reiki energy.

One process is attunement. A certified Reiki practitioner initiates the student into Reiki by performing an attunement ceremony. The ceremony awakens the student's natural Reiki abilities & attunes the student's energy to the frequency of Reiki.

Another process is learning the secret symbols and prayers that activate Reiki energy in the body. The student learns these from their teacher & practices them over-and-over until they are second nature.

A third process is practicing Reiki on oneself & others. This allows the student to learn through experience, experimentation, & feedback.

Reiki's role in healing

Reiki is never recommended as a substitute for conventional medical treatment.

However, Reiki can be a powerful complement to conventional medical treatments.

Hospitals around the country offer Reiki healing to their patients because they recognize that Reiki provides patients with benefits beyond what conventional medical methods provide.
